Art-filled school vacation at Farnsworth
Rockland — Children age 5 to 8 years old are invited to join art instructor Trelawney O’Brien during the winter school break for an art camp at the Farnsworth’s Gamble Education Center, on the corner of Grace and Union streets. The weeklong camp will run Monday through Friday, Feb. 18 through 22, from9 a.m. to noon.
Some of the activities will be making masks, making handmade birdfeeders, building snow sculptures, dying T-shirts, collaging, sculpting clay and marbling paper. O’Brien is a fine artist and art educator who lives in Rockland and teaches students at Rockland District Middle School through the RASA After-School Art Program; has co-taught art classes for children at the Farnsworth; and was an instructor and head of art camps through Splatter Kids at Lincoln Street Center for Arts and Education.
