Archeological excavations from Norway come to Rockport
Rockport — On Wednesday, Dec. 11, from 6:30 to 8 p.m., Dr. Colin P. Amundsen will discuss the archaeological excavations in the eastern half of the North Atlantic, specifically in Norway.
In this talk, at Rockport Public Library, examples from several excavations from the Arctic to the west coast of Norway will be presented. The sites are dated to the Stone-age, 8000 to 1800 B.C.
Dr. Amundsen has recently relocated to Rockport after living in Norway. Raised in Connecticut he attended the University of Maine Orono for his bachelors in anthropology and then attended the Graduate Center, at the City University of New York for his Ph.D. in anthropology.
