Applications for Top Gun program due Jan. 12
Rockland — The 2017 Top Gun entrepreneurial acceleration program will be starting again soon. The program uses mentoring, presentations, meetings and peer support in a dynamic combination that has helped many successful entrepreneurs grow their businesses from a good idea and a steady start toward real growth. It helps new businesses start the right way, and shows existing businesses ways to put life and strength into their enterprise.
Top Gun was started by the Maine Center for Entrepreneurial Development in Portland, and this year is being presented in Rockland in partnership with MaineStream Finance.
The Top Gun program uses the Pitch as an anchor for business awareness and planning. In the process of developing their presentation skills, both new and experienced business owners learn about planning, appropriate recordkeeping, numbers as the life blood of their business, and effective marketing and tools for doing business in the new economy. Each participant will work with individual mentors and attend sessions with experienced, accomplished and knowledgeable speakers.
The application deadline is Jan. 12, and the program will begin Feb. 8.
