Antique collector to lead garden display discussion

May 17, 2017
Rockport Garden Club member and antique collector Ann Robinson will lead a Thursday, June 1 discussion on antiques used in garden displays.

Rockport — “Antiques for the Garden” will be the subject for Rockport Garden Club meeting on Thursday, June 1.

Ann Robinson, longtime collector and Rockport Garden Club member, will discuss useful and decorative antiques for your garden with illustrating items from her own collection. Robinson likes to dig through antique shops for displays for her garden as much as she enjoys digging in her garden. So she will have a lot to show participants.

Gardens are an extension of one's house and when simple or unusual antiques are surrounded by flowers in bloom, special plants on the deck, or in vegetable/herb gardens, it’s like another room outdoors to entertain, have lunch or just enjoy looking at the displays, plus being wonderful conversation pieces.

The presentation is free and open to the public and is held at the Rockport Opera House, lower level at 1 p.m. For further information, please call 236-7788.
