Rockland — Children’s author and illustrator Hope Angier will present a multimedia rendition of her book “Harmony: Land of the Four Seasons” Saturday, July 12, at 11 a.m. at Rockland Public Library, 80 Union St. In the book, a little girl experiences wonder, magic and adventure while on a journey through the mystical Land of the Four Seasons.

Angier is a nationally recognized Maine artist. “Harmony,” her first book, is a creative and natural outlet for her primitive and whimsical style of art, as well as her love of nature. This event is suitable for young children and their families.

On Saturday, July 19, at 11 a.m., Angier will lead a workshop titled Painting Fruit on Fabric. Participants will have an opportunity to learn a few basic, traditional, decorative painting techniques. They will create three pieces of fruit by learning how to fit the elements of the design together like a puzzle using a layering technique. After a brief practice session, each student will paint his or her own “finished” original Angier design on fabric.

This workshop is suitable for all budding artists. For more information, contact the library at 594-0310.
