Allen Insurance/Financial contributes to Camden Hills' Community Bleacher ProjectMidcoast company contributes $10,000 to seating project for Don Palmer Field
Rockport — The Camden Hills Regional High School's Community Bleacher Project has started the new year on a strong foot after a major corporate boost in their new athletic stadium bleacher campaign.
With a $10,000 donation from Allen Insurance and Financial, the project is at the halfway point to the new stadium-style seating at Don Palmer Field on the school campus.
"It's easy to recognize the value of Camden Hills Regional High School and its facilities to our communities," said Mike Pierce, president of Allen Insurance and Financial. "We are pleased to offer our support to the school's bleacher project."
The significance of this donation has energized the fundraising committee with a new goal called "Fifty in Five." The fundraising committee has its sights on working extra hard to raise an additional $50,000 in the next five months so that an order can be placed for the bleachers, said Steve Alex, athletic director.
"If this goal can be met our many spectators, fans and guests will have the opportunity to take in numerous events in some new great seating starting in the fall," he said.
"The Allen Insurance and Financial commitment to CHRHS student-athletes and the entire community is remarkable," Alex said. "It serves as a testament to the values that make [the] company a beacon in our community."
