Aldermere Farm's ocean trail open to public
Rockport — Aldermere Farm, on the back road between Rockport and Camden, is well-known for its Belted Galloway cattle, but there is also two trails open to the public on the property.
Come and find where they are and hike the Ocean Trail with Program Manager Sarah Post as part of the Great Maine Outdoor Weekend of events around Maine. The hike will begin at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 28 at 70 Russell Ave.
The one-mile trail hike takes visitors through a wooded part of the farm and out onto the beach overlooking Penobscot Bay. This easy trail is sloping downhill, but on the way back it will be a gentle uphill course. Families are welcome.
The group will gather at the 70 Russell Ave. location and then walk to the trail head together. Free, but please RSVP at 236-2739 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Aldermere Farm is a conserved property owned and managed by Maine Coast Heritage Trust.
