Adams — Dulac wedding
Rockland — Katie Marissa Adams and Shawn Ericson Dulac were married on July 27, 2013 at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Rockland arriving by school bus to further commemorate their wedding theme.
Katie is the step-daughter of George Bilcheck and daughter of Deborah Adams Bilcheck of Milford, Conn., and Howard Adams of Sonora, Ky.
Shawn is the son of Gilles and Dawn Dulac of Whitefield.
Nicole Hessberger was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Nicole Adams Beaudreau, Erin Strout, and Jennifer Dulac Noftall. The flower girl was Payton Drapp. Nicholas Blais was best man. Groomsmen were Lexan Lhu, Nathan Passmore, Peter Perry and Christopher Noftall. Ring bearer was Brady Noftall.
Rehearsal dinner was held at Archer’s on the Pier. A school-theme reception was held at the Elks Lodge, Rockland, where approximately 150 guests from as far away as Africa as well as Connecticut, New York, Pennsylvania, Florida, and Massachusetts attended.
Guests used their Hall Pass to find their table labeled with a school term such as Science, School Board, or Psychology. Katie teaches at Miller School in Waldoboro. Shawn is a French teacher, boys’ varsity tennis, girls’ varsity basketball, and junior varsity golf coach at Oceanside High School in Rockland.
Katie graduated from the University of Maine at Machias with a bachelor’s in elementary education and received a master’s in reading and language arts through Walden University.
Shawn is a 2003 graduate of Cony High School in Augusta and earned his bachelor’s in 2007 from the University of Maine at Orono with a Double Major in French and Secondary Education.
The couple honeymooned in Europe for nearly a month. The couple reside in Rockland.
