‘A Waldo Family Christmas’

Waldoboro — The Waldo Youth Musical Class and local talent are joining forces to present “A Waldo Family Christmas” show Friday, Dec. 20, at 7 p.m.; and Saturday, Dec. 21, at 4 p.m. at the Waldo Theatre, 916 Main St./Route 220.

The first set of classes culminated in a successful “Halloween Revue.” This Christmas show will feature 22 students, age 8 to 12, performing many Christmas favorites in addition to presenting audiences with “A Charlie Brown Christmas.” Intermingled will be performances by local talent including Roger Marcotte, Seth Sweetser, Sabrina Turner, Linda Blanchard, Brad Fillion, Tabitha Ordway and Melissa Hearth, among others.

The classes are taught by Hearth and Marcotte, who have 15 years combined experience in working with youth in theater. The spring program will be aimed at social awareness regarding acceptance and the hazards of bullying. For more information on classes, email melissa@thewaldo.org.

Suggested donation at the door is $5 per person. All proceeds will go directly into the Youth Theatre program toward scholarships, sheet music, costumes, etc.
