A hint from Fred.

SOUTH THOMASTON — At my advanced age, every time I touch my computer, I find myself wishing that a personal "webmaster" came along with it! Everything is so-o-o complicated! But then I remember that I do have the next best thing?

Our local "Finnish Heritage House" actually HAS a webmaster! And he keeps their website, computers, audio-visual system, public address system, wide screen 46" TV, and antique record players...ALL functioning perfectly.

This also is very importaint to the members and friends of both the "Finnish Congregational Church" and the "Finn-Am Society of Mid-Coast Maine", as all three organizations share these facilities at Jura Hall. This is the fellowship center recently built beneath the church on Route 131. I simply refer to this entire group as "Finns & Friends", and gave my blog that name four years ago.

The name of this digital genius is Fred Webel, and we have been good friends since his parents were next-door-neighbors of my parents. Fred added a little paragraph to his "Computer Corner" in the Fall issue of the FHH newsletter. In it, he suggested "tuning-in" to my blog, and gave the web address to locate it. Did anyone notice that? You will see it reproduced in the photo of my laptop, which is at the start of this blog.

By using this address, you can work your way back through 70 blogs, and check out a lot of information, pictures, and stories that you may have missed. If you can't make-out the letters in the photo, I will print them below.

The upper right corner of the laptop shows Fred installing the 46" HDTV at the hall, while the other is a "head-&-shoulders" of the man himself.
