Two local candidates and their potential constituents enjoyed another productive exchange of ideas recently at the Appleton Public Library.  State Representative Ed Mazurek of Rockland and Lloyd Chase of Liberty met with voters to discuss their respective campaigns and issues.  Both are Clean Election candidates.

Mazurek is a candidate for Maine Senate District 22, which represents all of Knox County except the towns of Friendship, Washington and Isle au Haut.  He is just finishing four consecutive terms in the Maine House where he represented Rockland and part of Owls Head.  Term limits prevent him from running again for that seat.

Lloyd Chase is a first-time candidate, running for Maine House District 44, which represents Appleton and Hope in Knox County and the Waldo County towns of Islesboro, Liberty, Morrill, Searsmont and Lincolnville.

Many present signed on to help the candidates during their campaigns by phoning voters, writing letters, driving the candidates door-to-door, placing lawn signs etc.  Others who are willing to help or who would like to discuss issues with the candidates are invited to contact them directly.

Please contact Ed Mazurek at 594-5647 or 542-0017 (cell) or Edmazurek1@aol.com or mazurekforsenate.com.

Please contact Lloyd Chase at 589-4749 or pflsChase@fairpoint.net.

Anyone willing to arrange a small private or public venue for any candidate or candidates where they may meet voters is encouraged to do so.  Contact the candidate(s) directly or call Knox County Democratic Headquarters at 594-0075.
