June 1 (Thursday) - Conversations on Organic and Fair Trade Coffee with Patrick Reilley

Patrick Reilley is Owner & Roastmaster of Rock City Roasters in Rockland. In 2002, Rock City Coffee Roasters proudly won the prestigious TOPS Award for Excellence from the Specialty Coffee Association of America. The designation is awarded annually to a handful of specialty coffee businesses for their commitment to building a successful coffee business by maintaining quality on all levels and also to building community through education and service.


June 6 (Tuesday) - Introduction to Feng Shui with Mary Ellen Ostherr

Feng Shui is the Chinese art of object placement and decoration to correct and enhance the flow of energy in the home and workplace, enhancing happiness, health and prosperity. Learn some of the basic techniques and tools of this ancient practice with Mary Ellen Ostherr. Mary Ellen is a certified Feng Shui Consultant and has been practicing in the midcoast area for 3 years.

June 15 (Thursday) - Intro to Whole Foods II: Selling My Soul to Seitan with Rick Perry

This cooking class includes a discussion of "Why Whole Foods", along with the preparation of a few seitan dishes, which can be the basis for many cost-effective, healthful meals. Rick is the former Chef for Hurricane Island Outward Bound School as well as the author of several "Natural Foods" Cookbooks. Class is limited to 12 participants.
