Camden — Camden Rockport Middle School will present the second of its two performances of  “3 Puzzled Plays” Thursday, March 21, at 7 p.m. at the Camden Opera House, Elm Street/Route 1. The show is postponed from March 19, due to the late-winter snowstorm.

The three-one act plays presented are “Charles” by Shirley Jackson, “Dear Maudie” by Michele Willens and “The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County” by Joseph McDonough, based on the story by Mark Twain. C-RMS students from sixth, seventh and eighth grades have worked together to bring the stories to life.

Director Ellen Curtis said she has encouraged the casts and technical crew to think outside the box, be creative and to take risks.

“They have exceeded my expectations. I could not be prouder of what we have accomplished," she said, adding that life lessons on and off stage have been learned and friendships have been formed across grade levels during this theatrical process.

Technical director Erma Colvin and her tech crew were given the huge task of developing and building a life-sized moving animal for one of the plays, and hope the community will come out to see this unique work of art.

General admission tickets for this excellent evening of family entertainment will be sold at the door, and the box office will open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for students, with a family cap of $15.
