‘10by10’ art on view, for bid
Youth Arts’ fundraising “10by10” art sale, a new tack for the nonprofit, will be part of the 40th Anniversary Celebration Saturday, Nov. 3 starting 6 p.m. at High Mountain Hall, 5 Mountain St. in Camden. The works are currently on view at Rockport Public Library, and will move on Monday, Oct. 29 to the Camden Town Office window on Main Street/Route 1.
Local artists submitted works within the size limits of 10-by-10 inches, and Christine’s Gallery in Lincolnville donated all framing materials and their time to frame the 15 pieces. These pieces will be sold for $200 each, with Youth Arts and the artists splitting the proceeds 50/50. “10by10” is a way for Youth Arts to raise money for its programs for children and to support the artists in the community.
Participating artists are Julie Richard Crane, Jeanne Dawson, Susan Dowley, Doreen Dufour, Jackie Dunham, Ingrid Ellison, Ronald Frontin, Phillipe Guillerm, Barbara Jackson, Rebecca Johnson, Russell Kahn, Jean Kigel, Annadeene Konesni Fowler and Jamie Waterman. Youth Arts 40th Anniversary Selections offer both live and silent auctions, in addition to “10by10,” plus food, drink and good company for a great cause. For tickets, $40/$65 per couple, call Teresa Curtis at 975-2296.
