100 Spaces 100 Voices video call
Portland — To mark its 100th anniversary, the Maine Chapter of the American Institute of Architects has kicked off a film project to celebrate spaces in Maine. Architects, designers and the public at large are invited to submit short videos of their favorite spaces in Maine at 100spaces100voices.me.
The videos will be published online and AIA Maine will create a mini-documentary compilation to articulate the spirit of Maine’s spaces and the voices of the people who design, build and use them. The short film will be presented at the AIA Maine annual meeting event in December.
“We’re excited to highlight the spaces where people draw inspiration,” said Susan Koch, executive director, AIA Maine. “Some may be places they’ve designed and built themselves, others could be a personal retreat or a common space that we all share. As Maine architects, our job is to celebrate space. This film project is part of that celebration.”
Video submissions for 100 Spaces 100 Voices Film Project are due Sunday, Sept. 30. To learn more about AIA Maine, visit aiamaine.org.
