Car hits tree while avoiding dog

Rockland — A Toyota sedan hit a tree on Broadway in Rockland, just south of Pleasant Street, at about 9:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 2. According to Rockland Police Officer John Bagley, the vehicle swerved to avoid a dog that was in the roadway.
