Ellingwoods Corner United Methodist Church is having a sale, seasonal items, white elephant and featuring a " Hawaiian Sweetheart Luncheon " which will include baked ham and pineapple, potato salad, cole slaw, macaroni and cheese, fruit salad , pineapple upside down cake, coffee. punch  and etc. The sale  is from 8-3 and the luncheon is at 11:00 am until the food runs out.  Adult tickets are $6 and Childrens are $3.  There are tables set up for people to play cards, put puzzles together or just sit and chat. Hula skirts and leis may also be on hand.  Oh, the date is Sat. Feb. 11th. Almost forgot that one!                                                                                                                   Winterport Historical Association meeting on Feb.13th will be at the Victoria Grant Civic Center at 6:30 pm with a pot luck,   Guest speaker will be Bernie Littlefield, President of the Winterport Area Business Association. His topic for the evening will be about the Winterport Area Business Association.                                                                                        The book Teddy Weston wrote " More River Town History " is still available for $19.95, tax included  at the Town Office or by contacting Teddy.  Funds raised from the sale of the book goes to the Winterport Historical Association.  The book has many interesting facts about Winterport a few years back.                                                                                                      Winterport House of Pizza will be offering " Heart-shaped Pizza" on Valentines Day.  Be sure to get one for your sweetie.                                                                                                             Did you get your dog his/her license yet? If you didn't it will cost an extra $25.00 now.                                                                                                     Remember to save your bottles/cans for the Winterport  American Legion Auxillary.   They will be having a door to door pick up the end of Feb.  More info next week.                                                                                              Wagner Middle School basketball teams will play Sat Feb.2 at Hermon High School in a tournament. The girls play at 10 and the boys play at 2:30 .  they both play Caravel.  The winners play again Wed. Feb.8 and the losers go home.  Good luck to both teams.
