Little Beavers 4-H Club:

The Little Beavers  & Cloverbuds 4-H are selling Fedco Seeds right now.  If you are interested please contact us at 568/-3547 or 322-4932.  We will get you in touch with a 4-H member.  This is a fundraiser to support 4-Hers with scholarships and camperships.

 The Little Beavers and Cloverbuds with Waldo County 4-H have a display at the Maine Farmland Trust Gallery this month for anyone that would like to check it out.

Get Well:

Get well wishes to Beverly Penney who has not been feeling well.  Hope you are feeling better now.

 

Brooks Breakfast:

The Brooks Congregational Church hosts a breakfast every Sunday 7:30 AM – 9:30 AM at the Varney Building.  Every Sunday morning from now until April 1st.  Brooks Village, Rt. 7 free will donations.  Come on out for breakfast.

 

Sympathy:

Sympathy is extended to the family and friends of Patricia Reynolds of Unity.  She passed away Jan. 26th and will be sadly missed.

 

Richmond:

For those of you that know Gisela Dearborn of Richmond, American Legion Auxiliary Unit # 132.  She is very ill.  She is the wife of Past Dept. Commander Larry Dearborn.  Their patriotic limousine was seen at Arlington Cemetery with the Wreaths Across America convoy in December.  The 49 Maine Soldiers that we have lost since 9/11/01 have their names stenciled on the window of the limo.  Service members saluted this respected patriotic limo.  God Bless the Dearborn’s.

 

Belated Birthday:

A belated birthday wish to Gloria Pacheco Feb. 4th.  Your birth date sneaked right by me.  Here’s wishing you many more.

 

Also belated birthday wishes to A. J. Jan. 27th, Kristen Feb. 5th and Missy Feb. 8th.

 

Happy Birthday:

Linda Constable of Unity is now at Eastern Maine Medical Center Rm. 616 489 State St, Bangor, ME 04401.  Let’s send her cards and keep her spirits up.  Miss you Linda!!! Get well soon.

1-877-563-4645 for free 100 gals. of heating oil.  Keep trying – listen to some of the message before hanging up and redialing, as it’s the same voice that will eventually answer your call.  Keep trying. Be patient.

 

Visiting:

Gabriel Doughty spent Thursday night with his sister, Alialin Doughty in Old Town.  He had another dentist appointment.

 

Benefit Palermo:

A benefit dinner Feb. 12th 5-7 PM for injured Iraqi Veteran Jeremy Gilley will be held at the Palermo Consolidated School.  Adults $7.00- Children under 12 free.

 

Also Belfast:

Another benefit dinner Potluck for injured Veteran Jeremy Gilley Feb. 25th 5-7 PM Belfast Legion Post #43.  Adults $5.00, $3.00 children.  If you would like to bring a dish contact the Post 338-1202.  Let’s help Jeremy out as he got injured real bad helping someone else out.  Donations accepted and a raffle.

 

I hear the ground hog saw his shadow today Feb. 2nd so 6 more weeks of winter.  Until next time – stay warm – a lot of troops are returning home from Iraq.  No snow here yet for the snowmobilers, rains it right off.  More to come!  Remember your Sweetheart, on February 14, 2012.  Happy Valentine’s Day!
