The Salvation Army has been serving Rockland, Maine since 1889.  Today the Army is located in a 18,000 square foot facility.  This facility houses the Corps with a sanctuary for worship, social service office, classrooms, administrative offices and a food pantry.  There is also a large multi purpose room and large kitchen for meals and public functions.  The lower portion of the building houses the Thrift Store.

Children's Programs

Kids Club (grades K-5) Tuesday at 4:00-6:00, FREE

Jr. & Sr. High Night (grades 6-12) Thursday at 4:00-6:00, FREE

Martial Arts (youth 5 and up) Monday's 5:15-6:30, FREE for first 30 days for new members.

Worship

Sunday: Prayer & Praise 10:45, Holiness Meeting 11:00, Children's Service 11:00, Sunday School 1:00

Wednesday: Women's Ministries 10:00 (16 and up)

Thursday: Prayer & Praise 6:30 

Miscellaneous

Scrapbooking Crop 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, Third Saturday of each month with no December meeting, $10.00 includes lunch, RSVP or walk-ins welcome.

Martial Arts for Adults  Monday's at 7:00-9:00 pm and Thursday's 6:00-8:00 pm  $5.00 per class or $30.00 for both classes per month.  FREE for first 30 days for new members.

Soup Kitchen

Each Sunday:  Continental Breakfast 10:30 am and Fellowship Luncheon after Salvation Church at 11:00 am (12:30 pm)  FREE and open to public.

Emergency Assistance and Transitional Support

Helping people in time of need is the backbone of our work at The Salvation Army. But our life-giving mission goes far beyond basic assistance (i.e. food or clothing). Through our comprehensive assistance programs, we not only help individuals and families for short-term, but also for the long-term. By listening, counseling, and providing referral services, we help people get back on their feet, regain their independence, and go on to live healthy successful lives.
