The Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce’s annual Business Expo, scheduled at the Samoset on March 14, 2012, is a showcase of local businesses.  Attendees from the business world as well as the general public have the opportunity to sample goods, view products, meet service providers, and even win some pretty spectacular door prizes.

This year, thanks to the creative spirit of the folks at Adventure Advertising in Rockport, the Expo will have its own website:  www.MaineBusinessShowcase.com.

“This is a great addition to the event,” said Robin McIntosh, Membership Services Manager at the Chamber.  “With the addition of a website, companies will be able to register on line.  Attendees will be able to see in advance which companies will be there and what show specials will be offered by the various vendors.  Sponsors will be highlighted on the site as well.  It’s a win-win for everyone.”

The Expo Committee is encouraging businesses and non-profits of all types to participate.  “The greater the variety, the better the experience will be for everybody,” added McIntosh.  “We anticipate everything from banks and insurance companies to construction and landscaping firms, from environmental organizations to community service groups.  There really will be something for everybody!”

The event’s Lead Sponsor is Computer Solutions of Rockland.  Co-sponsors are Eastern Tire and Auto Service, Machias Savings Bank, North Atlantic Painting, and Philbrook & Associates Bookkeeping.  The Samoset Resort will sponsor the evening’s Business After Hours/reception, J&B Diversified is sponsoring “The Loft” area for non-profit groups, VillageNet Media is this year’s media sponsor, and Bangor Savings Bank is the Bag Sponsor.
