Gypsy Blonde Dives Into Culinary Blog with Mainely Yum!

Food is culturally crucial
to our existence,
yet we undermine its value
to our quality of life.

When all is said and done, food is more than a means of sustenance.  The healing properties of foods are often overlooked in the chase to excite our taste buds.

We are only as good as the food we eat.  If you're eating garbage, then you'll get garbage back.  If you eat whole foods in season, you'll get positive changes in your optimum health.

This blog is about food as healer and muse, as comfort and delight, made with local organic ingredients.  The entries here will be mostly my own recipes, scribbled as I make them up in the moment, from my own kitchen.  Included with each meal, I'll share about the healing properties of each recipe.

When I get stuck, Maine chefs will step in as guides with their recipes.  In addition, we'll talk about local food sources here in Maine, and the many places you can go to experience Maine chefs doing the cooking when you don't want to.

To kick off Mainely Yum! I'll post an article every day.

As they say here in Maine, "Wicked Good!"
